Warilla Beach
Warilla Beach is located on the south coast of NSW. It is a beach that is popular with surfing and swimming, and it’s located between Windang Island and Barrack Point inlet.
What were the issues:

Deterioration

human impacts ( recreational abuse, construction of surf clubs, houses, placement of infrastructure ( roads and storm-water drains)

wind erosion

big tides
-
Storms swells

Factors affect the coast

Management strategies:

recreate dune system along the norther end of Warilla beach

mange vehicle access

manage introduced species
-
construction of rock sea wall ( protect houses from erosion )

construction of groyne
-
sand nourishment ( stabilise the sand placed reduce the potential for sand to bypass and cause shoaling of the entrance channel )
